Egg Nog Cranberry Muffins

Okay, I promise this will be the last Christmasy thing I post for awhile! I just thought this recipe would come in handy if any of you happened to have egg nog left over from the holidays. I always buy egg nog every year – €“it doesn’t seem like the holidays without it – but I always end up with extra. And it’s so rich, you can’t really drink a lot of it. So baking with it seems like the perfect way to finish using it up.

Oatmeal Cookies (Gluten Free)

I’ve been sort of busy. I’ve gone completely overboard and I’m pretty sure I’ve single handedly caused a local butter shortage. I made this eggnog fudge. I made these coconut lime bars. I made this peppermint mocha cake. I made homemade poptarts. I made these chocolate crinkles. I made these linzer cookies. I made these cowboys cookies. I made these pistachio orange cookies. Every Christmas morning, the girls’ eyes, and later on, the boy’s, would pop at the big…

Cranberry-Cinnamon Scones

I have been trying not to look at the calendar too much. When I do, it sticks its tongue out at me for having fallen behind so much. I have two days to cross things off my holiday list–there’s still hope! My husband and I are celebrating Christmas a bit differently this year so time is even more of a factor. That said, I am still looking forward to Christmas–I have reminded myself that this time of year is not about the gifts still unwrapped…

Nutella Blondies

Stephen and I have finally had a chance to breathe a little, now that recruitment is over for our respective Greek organizations. This school year promises to be busier than usual; all the senior year festivities, graduation audits, and final projects have already begun to dominate my time. (And I’ve only been going to class for two weeks!) It’s my last school year at UCLA and I have high expectations for myself.
