Dark Chocolate and Blackberry MuffinsI don’t know about you, but for me the idea of being a mum has always been synonymous with images of angelic flour-splattered children standing on chairs in the kitchen next to an apron-clad serene-looking woman, joyfully stirring cake mixture before licking the spoon. Well, Finn is too young to help out at the moment and I am anything but serene, but I’ve been working on getting my bake-on. For me, mum’s bake. And to date, I’ve been a miserable failure on that front. So, time to rectify… |

A Quick Sweet/Savory Breakfast Frittata with Pears & BlackberriesThanksgiving really began at our house one week before November 24th. Thursday, November 18th to be exact. The Third Thursday Potluck was that evening & called for something special to take along as it was the last Third Thursday Potluck of 2011. Apple Pear Cardamom Muffins with Salted CaramelOhh.. you sexy thing. Yes, I am flirting with my food. Would you please give me a little privacy? Chocolate Chips Orange CakeEasy, Moist, Tasty, Jaffa Cake!! This has to be one of the easiest cake I make all the time!! All you need to do is blend the orange – yes! the whole thing! with skin and all! No need to boil at first, just chunck it in the food processor or use a stick master! Then process butter, sugar and eggs together, finally fold in some flour and choc chips- there you have it, a perfect cake batter! And it is always guarantee to turn out perfectly moist and yummy!! |

Toffee ApplesRemember remember the fifth of November, Gunpowder, treason and plot, I see no reason why gunpowder, treason Should ever be forgot… Yay! Tonight is Guy Fawkes Night, so we will all wrap up warm, stand round a large bonfire, and look up at the fireworks over Alexandra Palace, while partaking in a collective ooooh and aaaaah as the sky lights up. Alexandra Palace is not a royal residence, but was purpose built in the 1870s as an entertainment venue, and as it is perched in a hill, if is the perfect place for a… |
